Phantom Printer Applicator with PharmaFold Applicator

Hello, I'm Steve Finn, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Panther Industries. In this video, we will be highlighting the Panther PharmaFold and the Panther Phantom labeling automation system.

This specialty solution was initially developed for mail-order pharmaceuticals. For example, in an instance where a customer is prescribed a pill such as Tylenol with codeine, where Tylenol has their specific proprietary label, this system can take customer-specific information and apply that fold to the window, thereby giving the patient the ability to read all the proprietary information and their customer-specific dosage information.

More recently, we've seen this system be used as an LPN or a license plate, particularly in high-value opaque shrink-wrap systems. What happens here is that a narrow strip of adhesive is applied to the bag prior to the heat tunnel. When it goes into the heat tunnel, any bunching and wrinkling is mitigated. It is then occluded by a shipping label once it's scanned, leading to a great customer experience for that high-end good.

Lastly, we've seen results with RFID tags that are folded on either foil-wrapped or metal products. In a traditional RFID label, being so close to that foil or metal could result in bad scans. In this case, because the flag is up slightly, we do generate good scans.

As with all Panther lineup products, the Panther Phantom PharmaFold can be integrated with OEM print engine requirements, such as Zebra and Sato, depending on your specific needs and preferences. So across all these systems, whether it's mail-order pharmaceuticals, opaque high-value goods in bags, or RFID tags on metal or foil objects, the Panther Phantom PharmaFold will reduce expenses, increase throughput, and reduce waste and loss.
