The Panther Industries print and apply labeling system provides signals whenever it receives data, has a label staged on the tamp head, or has completed a cycle. These signals can be used to monitor status, coordinate action, and provide feedback on actions requested. Knowing and understanding the status of the labeling system can help improve efficiencies, reduce downtime, and increase throughput for your entire labeling line.
Panther Industries labeling systems can provide up to 17 different output points and 5 different input points, along with numerical data covering current error codes and cycle times. In the following video we provide an overview of the most commonly used signals:
Input: Trigger
Output: Error, Home, Data Ready, LOTAR, and Cycle Complete
The video demonstrates how and when these signals are used in the labeling automation process. For a more complete list of I/O please see the documentation applicable to your specific labeling system.
